UNDERTALE

undertale is a million different things to me and they all run around in my head and crash into each other. but the main gist of it is it's a videogame. you've probably heard of it before and if you haven't, you have. you just don't know that. i wish i had played it earlier.

it explores this overarching moral question of what the moral implications of death means, and does so in a way that handles everything involved in a careful and well written way.

it's a game with so much soul and thought put into it. everything ties back to the smallest decisions. i don't think i could name a part of it that i thought negatively of.

the demo is free, there's a million livestreams if you aren't interested in playing yourself.

ARCANE

this show destroyed me. it's changed the way i approch my art, the animation is something that i can't find words for, but i adore it. this is another thing you've likely heard of. i would recommend getting to at least the fourth episode before you decide whether or not you want to keep watching. there was a whole thing with when a new director came on the show, the pacing changes drastically between the first three pilots that they made for Netflix (many years before the show came out). as with anything these days, it takes a little to find it's footing. i mourn what we could have gotten if it wasn't for Netflix cutting short and underpaying what was originally planned.
